The founder of the football club Buducnost from Banat Palace and former vice president of Partizan passed away at the age of 83


Mirko Vucurevic, former vice president and member of the Partizan Board of Directors and founder of Future by Banat Dvor, died at age 83 after a long and serious illness.

Vucurevic was a well-known businessman, owner of the Nivada Watch Factory, a functionary at the FSS, and for a lifetime he built a church, a school, streets in Banat Court, while Budatnost of Banat Dvor plays in the stadium that bears his name.

In 1995, Vucurevic fk Buducnost began to finance Banat Dvor and from the lowest league brought the club in 2007 to the highest level of competition in Serbia. The biggest success of the club was the final of the Serbian-Montenegro Cup with Red Star in 2004 and participation in the UEFA Cup.

As the future merged with the Zrenjanin FC Proleter football school, FC Banat was founded, and Mirko Vuéurevié continued funding while his daughter Vukica took care of the club.

Mirko Vucurevic is buried on Thursday in Banat Dvor.
